The purpose of these works is conceptually and specifically contained in the process. This takes place in the inmediate dimension of the painting -not using sketches-
Applied with a careful interest in colour tones, the strict basic composition is completed by expressive brushstrokes.
A pictorial space like this constructed is the result of setting and covering on different paint layers (avoiding the tridimensional effectism). Decissions are made visible within the interspaces, as well as finally on the surface relief.
The serial and physical process of painting on the canvas, using crossed gestures within a grid pattern, will only be concluded as routine leading to an unexpected composition.
